The car is originally from -77 but has know the apperance of a 84-90.
it has got a turboengine, front seats from one of SAAB´s worst 9000 model, with electric and memory.
It´s build to go fast, but i have got troubles with the engine so I have not tried it out yet.
I got first place on the Orebro-meeting in July 26 here in sweden.

The polaris wheels is from my Vovlo 940, the Wheels to the Wagon wasn´t ready to the meeting. but it is also 17" alloy wheels, but it looks much more elegant with the other wheels, maybe someday I can get pic of that too.
I also have to modify the exhaust, I have to get a 3" all the way, then sidepipe like now, with nice 3" chromepipe at the end.

stance is slang for how the car sits, lowered ect.
Looks great man, I REALLY love its stance too. I've got to cut the springs on mine now that I've pulled so much more weight off the front end.

The front shocks is taken from the original turbo, and the rear is gonna be change soon, to turbo or something like that, the springs are from BG, they lower about 40mm, But i have to cut some more off at the rear, it looks nice on the pic, but in reallity it hold it´s tail a bit high.
I could also use a set of U.S turnsignallamps, i like that.
Very joyfull that you all like the car

I have had about 7 turbo 240, and this one handles like a dream, not only because of the watt-link, but it defently has got some of it´s good handling from that. The car is build to run, and when I get the engine right I will let it out to proof it.
The Watt-link is from S.A.M/Staffanson automotive If i remember correctly

Very nice car!
And you wouldn't believe how long it took me to realize that those are mirrors under the rear end  ... I thought you grew grass in the trunk or something, until I realized everything was upside down. But it took me a sec. to even notice that- i guess i need some sleep.

you can see it best here on kjells car: http://68.98.160.59:5555/pictures/volvo_pics/240/green242/bilsport-differential.jpg
its what replaces the pan-hard rod. (big star thing mounted to the diff)

That setup is pimpin, man that has got to be the coolest setup, next to one mounted horizontally and low going almost all the way across the car. I am guessing the panhard rod if set properly and made at the same length and angle while factoring in the angle of the center piece with regard to each rod could make for a proper lack side to side axle movement. It also looks like you could get more precise tracking with better traction without sacraficing either one to get the other.

Looks real clean and if every part is new.
Here is a link i found since I wanted to know how a Watts Link worked
http://www.bevenyoung.com.au/config.html
This is what we have on a 240 and pretty much a 740
http://susprog.com/Susp07.jpg
This is what is on that 245 in the beginning
http://susprog.com/Susp08.jpg
apparently, the watts device holds the axle in the center and allows it to move up and down, where as a panhard rod does it in an arc. basically, the panhard works pretty well, the Watts link may be a more accurate way of keeping proper rear axle alignment when cornering. I am still a little fuzzy on how it actually achieves this, since the versions I have seen look to me like the rear axle is going to move all over the place
I guess I would have to see one in person and have them let me push on the car to see it working.
On Another note, if you lower your car, an adjustable panhard rod is highly recommended. it centers the rear axle after lowering. On my car, it moved the axle over 1" back to center.
Cheers
Paul Jones

Very nice wagon! Very inspiring. (I'm currently working on a 1980 240 wagon restoration)
Is that a sunroof I see???? If so, was that something you installed, or did the 240 wagons come with them over there?
Wow.

The sunroof is taken from a 4 door saloon, and fitted underneth the original roof, only about 1 dm of the 4 d roof is left around the sunroof, but they could have done a better job, you can see that it has been welded into position from some angels.
I thought that 240 Wagon in U.S.A came with sunroof =)
