What did you use to mount those 2 gauges below your radio?

New wood faceplate (compressed wood for whiteboards) covered by torino vinil and attached to the existing plastic shelf by two screws by the sides. Of course i've made two metallic brackets to attach both gauges to the shelf.

I really like the gauges under the tape deck, great idea and installation, I can't tell from the pictures what the gauges are though....

Volvo Dan: I agree, I think itīs the best place to put extra gauges, looks stock. Of course not a great place for A/F and boost gauges.
Keggy: I made the mbc, following the steps in this site:

One year since, trouble free, just take care choosing the right spring and ball, and making a good seat for the ball.

hmm, that is interesting with the gauges. i have a regular a/f gauge and it wouldn't fit down under the radio.

Do you mean 52 mm. gauge? Because those gauges in my brick are two 52 mm. gauges.

another place i like gauges...
the two vents in the middle is a great place to put gauges. if you dont have a/c or any of that jazz of course. you can fit about 5 in there. they fit perfect, excellent viewing and easy to do.

Yes, great place if you want them close, but personally i prefer to keep the stock air vents. Before having my gauges under the radio, they were fitted over the glove box, but that was too far away for me.Now looks cool and stock!
Hi,
nice lookin ride.
Couple of questions:
1. Would you be willing to make the gauge holder? I'm not very good at those sorts of things, and I'd be willing to pay you for one.
2. What company sells / makes a gauge and sender for the turbo center section temperature? Curious...
Thanks!

Answering your first question, I'd be very glad to help you making the holder for the gauges, but the problem is that I'm located in Chile. Anyway I'd really like to travel to the US......
Secondly, the turbo center section temp. gauge is just a mechanical water temp. gauge with its sender attached to the senter section using a metal bracket. I know that the readings can be a little lower because it is not in contact with the water, just with the senter section aluminum housing. But it is useful to measure cool down process before shutting off the engine. It reads about 90 to 93 degrees celcius at warm idle.

i have a question: why only 2.5 in piping? isn't 3" the best for turbos?

3" is bit big for the small ass 13c.

The exhaust size you need is directly related to both boost pressure and engine size, 2.5 inch is ok for our cars unless you start going nuts with boost.
I always laugh my ass off when I see 1.6-1.8L turbo ricers with 3 inch systems, it's just serious overkill, even with quite high boost.

I agree with that.
