View Full Version : MSnS-E spark help
I'm running b230f+t, 64/48, vx cam, 59mm MVP TB, 28.6 lb injectors, with
MS1 V3pcb including ignition dirver
my rec fuel is at 14, 2 squirts, simultanious
and the car idles best at 30* with a timing light
This doesn't bother me, but it won't accl. at all, bogs down under load, ect...
any help?
Thanks

Reset the trigger angle.
How do I do this (reset the trigger angle), I used the guide and it figured to 57*, does that sound right?
I fallowed the guide and got the crank and MS both at 10*, Changed the fixed angle to -10, and snagged the spark table from linuxman's web account (the 8v map), and when I started it, I had to move the dizzy out to 30* at the crank to get a good idle.
Thanks

and when I started it, I had to move the dizzy out to 30* at the crank to get a good idle.That. That's what messed up your trigger angle. You set the fixed angle in MS to 20* (or whatever), hit the engine with the timing light, rotate the block mounted dizzy so it's about in the middle of it's range of motion, then change the trigger angle in megatune until your timing light reads 20* (or whatever your fixed angle is). Once the timing light reads the same as your fixed angle, you never have to touch the distributor again, doing so would totally screw with your trigger angle, and my guess is that even though Kenny's map says something like 25* during accell, your actual advance is like 5*, so that's why it bogs down like mad.
Hope that rambling made sense. :)

Ohh and to make it idle good, I'll bet that Kenny's map is set for like 15* at idle, you need to change those bins to whatever your desired idle advance will be (currently 30* ish).
Thanks for the quick answers, I'll try it in the morning (the car is about 15 mi. form here),
