Well I scored an 83' 244DL yesterday. This is now the official project car and the 245 will be parted and sent away. The 244 has some surface rust but the rockers and floors are very sound. I'll be using a couple of the doors and a fender from the 245.

The best part,.... The car was FREE!! that's right.

Why? The former owner, a friend of mine, gave the car to his stepson. The kid had no respect for the car. He didn't care for it at all. Last week he slid into a curb and trashed the lower control arm. He did not want to spend the couple bucks to fix it.
Soooo.. I raided my part pile and spent the 20 minutes to fix it.

There will be a thread in for sale soon for some really nice wagon specific parts.

And here she is!

The bent lower control arm.
Thank god for the stock control arms, folded like paper and there was no damage to the frame rails at all.

Sweet deal! I like one-Virgo look. Too bad to hear the wagon going to the scrapper.

I'm gonna have to say yes.

All of the suspension is getting swapped over to the 244, iPD sways, Bilstiens, ect..
Anything that is generic 240, I'll probably hold on to, with a few exceptions.
If you're looking for anything in particular, let me know.

The color is getting changed to black.
