I guess they didn't want to go through the hassle of making it a front engine-rear drive set up. :roll: At least it'll have a nice big trunk in the front...

That's cheating IMO, Hot Rod styled cars need the motor up front, just for the fact that it's traditional.

Beetle's aren't tradtional rod's, they are made after 1948, I'm thinking more like a 32' ford or 36' Chev.

Production most certainly rose after 48--but they were made prior to 1948.

Regardless, it would be more considered a street machine even if it looks like a t roadster.

I believe KDF stopped in the 30's but I am not 100% positive. Heres a 47 up on the samba...
