I am just north in Winnipeg manitoba. I just moved here from BC. I went from 100 tbrickers and meets all the time, to 1 turbobricker (Which I still havn't met)

I love Minnesota. My mom grew up in Hibbing and we spent 6 weeks each summer staying with my Grandparents and other relatives. Fishing, camping, hunting, boating.... I think I'll likely move there someday.

there is always the possibility of renting some place out that is near a hotel.

maybe just go to a park somewhere near a hotel and we can chill in the park after speaking with the appropriate park authorities. then after a day of volvo gawking, we can go party at the hotel.

I'm from minnesota just south of st. cloud I just became a tbricker about a week ago with my first volvo a 91 740Ti sedan. Also my brother is a tbricker he lives in omaha but is moving back soon hes got a 89 740Ti wagon and is about to buy another. Then theres my coworker olkdan83 hes a tbricker he has a 94 850Ti wagon. Would like to go to a meet for my first time dont know really what there about but would still like to go. I think there is quite a bit of tbrickers here in minnesota just gotta look.

Sorry to get on this so late, I live in Germany at the moment, and won't be back until next summer. Would love to get together then if anyone is still down? Not really interested in going to a hotel and drinking, but all for getting together and dorking around with Volvos.

If anyone is insterested, my Dad is the local guru for the Minnesota vintage club, and I can let you know when they are having events. They are usually quite small, but catered by Borton with food and prizes.

also at work today i drove by a hotel in crystal that had a nice sized parking lot behind it and a bar/grill was right next to the hotel as well. does crystal work for people? or is that too far? this place is right on County Road 81 just north of the Crystal Airport and just south of 694.

if people dig this idea, i can talk to the hotel and the bar/grill about the parking lot use. if they are cool with it, then i can grab a head count for hotel rooms and talk to the hotel about groups rates.

so penguin, let us know what you find. and everyone else, let me know what you think of doing this in crystal.

I know I'll never have my brick running (and I don't mean in time, the thing will never run), but if I can scrounge up some cash I'll prolly have a daily driver brick fairly soon. I'd feel like a tool showing up in the Corolla, but I'd do it anyway, because I am a tool. And it's fairly boxy, I'll just slap a volvo emblem on it if I have to.

I hope we can get a meet going before September...some of us have college so any one organizing might want to take that into consideration. I don't have a Volvo (at the moment) but I'd go with my brother and father who have a couple R's (and I maybe have a car by then, who knows).

i have not fixed the exhaust leak yet maybe today but i fixed the heater control valve. And with the long shift points i found that the kickdown cable was kinda tight but i loosen it and now it works just fine. And about the title no i was not able to get that done so if you could please email me with a good time we could get together and get that done please i have been working alot lately otherwise i would have contacted you sooner. But i already got a 15g off a 850 thats getting rebuilt than thats going on with a few other things like exhaust, browntops, and porting, etc.

ok, so as i see it there are two options. We could meet up tomorrow (the 12th) at the borton block party and do a bit of volvo gawking then head to some place for eats. the other option would be a meet on the 20th (a sunday) in crystal and doc can set us up.

ok, im gunna look into the hotel tomorrow. i will probably talk to them about using the parking lot and what not instead of rooms since it is going to be a sunday afternoon/evening. but like i said, there is a bar/grill right there, if we wanna go eat there. i have never eaten there, so i can't vouch for the food. otherwise, we can always go for a cruise to a place to eat if we want to.

so let's get a list of people actually going (i will of others do, but my volvo is out of commission, so who is coming and are you bringing your brick?) cause if not many people are going and if there are literally, no bricks...i see no reason in having it, IMHO
