NC meet

We are having another meet. It is on the 29th. Check out This Thread (http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?showtopic=53282) (you might have to be a member to view it). We are gonna meet at Umstead park on US 70 again. We are trying to get a dyno day together on the same day, too. i'll update this when i get more info...like meeting times and what we all we will do.

Dyno day ain't gonna happen, at least not where I work. That's the weekend of SE so I will be gone, Jason (oo4play) will be gone as well as well as alot of the VA crew.

Honestly, in the winter.... heh... It's gonna prolly have to be sometime in August. I can work the dyno myself so if we are only having a few cars then no worries, but I'm not about to work on a Saturday for some people that MIGHT show up and of the people that show up a COUPLE only fork out the $$ to dyno. Whoever is scheduled to be there I'll prolly make put down a non refundable deposit (family/life emergencies excluded). We've had alot of customers burn us on Saturdays for tuning and even entire car clubs that wanted to dyno, beyond that we're all busy racing and what not this summer anyways.

I'm not opposed to a dyno day, I'm just wanting to make sure that we have a decent # of people that will actually show up.

i understand, man. I would hate to get shafted like that. I think there was a list of 7-9 guys who said they would dyno. I've asked them if they'd do the non refundable thing, and i'll get back to you with their responses.

I want to get my car dynoed anyways....to see if it still makes over 100 hp....

+2, and unlike last year's "I'll be there next year" crowd, I'll actually be there this year.

Just go to SE. Credit cards were invented for a reason. The first SE I went to, I drove 1,100 miles round trip by myself, and it still cost me only $100 for the whole thing. Carpool with a couple other guys and this trip drops below $50.

You have no idea how bad I would like to go to SE and just drive 100's of miles in a Volvo caravan, but as of now I'm only 17 and my parents aren't too keen on the whole idea. But next year when im 18...i will ACTUALLY go! and i'm not just saying that.

i have so much cleaning to do its actually ridiculous...im semi-scared to see what ill unearth beneath the piles of crap sitting in my car. The outside needs a lot of work too.

'83 Turbo...we should get toghether before the meet some day and see what we can do to my car to clean it. Your dad seems pretty wise in the ways of car washing and he thinks that he can bring my car back to life with a little elbow grease. Shoot me back and let me know what you think.

I just dyno'd my car again... got more midrange power from tuning :) Still stuck at 8psi cuz the boost controller I got was giving me hell and I didn't have time to mess with it.

what an awesome meet that was! i still can't believe that 142 just rolling down that backroad in all of its Ford 5.0 Liter glory, that thing was SICKKK! I'll hopefully be turbo next time and it seems like we're getting more and more people at these. Next time we need to go to that Swedish Pick N' Pull that someone was talkin about today like 20 mintues outside of Mooresville. We need to do that and find somewhere to do some dirt driving :twisted:
