hello,

I'm going to replace the fuel filter on my car (it's at 150k, and up on jacks) and just wanted to make sure whether or not to upgrade from the stock fuel filter. I might want to go crazy on the engine and try to get 200-250 hp out of it. Can the stock fuel filter flow that much?

thanks for all advice...

yes.

not sure what the flow rates are, i know only that it has a fairly high micron rating? basically it pulls out more then enough particles and i have yet to see someone with a high output motor replace it with something different. (three i know of that i've looked at their fuel systems closely put out; 450hp, 550hp, 600hp)

Let's see...........$150+ for a wimpy Bosch pump from Volvo, when you can get a 255lph Walboro for $95.....hmm, hard decision, even if you aren't running high boost, it just makes sense, and it fits with a tad bit of modifications.
