headlights??

Has anybody ever fit 960 headlights on an '89 740?

Its been done, but it takes alot of work.... Like cutting and pasting the front end.

i actually started to. then i changed my mind and wanted to go an entirely different direction (soooper top secret). so i sold the 960 lights.
then the other plan... well... i didnt like it as much, anymore... now i want a 960 front end. so the lights i sold, i'm looking for again... along with the rest of the front end...

the 960 lights were in no way a bolt-on, but with some proper trimming of the core support, a bit of light fabrication and minor welding... no problem.
now... getting the lights to look "right" with the 740's corner lights...
and dont forget, the angle at which the lights need to sit. 740 lights, the glass is near perpendicular to the ground. the 960 is supposed to tilt back some... if the glass is perpendicular, the light will be focused lower than intended.
