Yummy... the car is soo dirty, but somehow the lighting helps wash that away.

Not too much space there... cant even fit my finger between the tire and the metal... but I cant seem to find evidence of rubbing (even after jumping on the bumper for 2 minutes) - so thats good

Yeah I am unhappy with how low the rear is... I might hafta get some overloads and cut one or two coils from them. Or I guess I could just put the stock springs back on

haha thats funny... absolutely not the best 200 wagon (but thanks for the compliment)... and there are 2 glaring things stopping it from even coming within the top 5 or 10:

Automagic and stock B230f

But someday I would love to +t (was planning on doing it this summer but plans fell apart... have prolly 80% of the parts though). I would also love love love to swap in a nice M47 and LSD. I think that within the next 5 years those are both possible.

And de-headlight wiper?? I like them... plus - how many other 240s do you see running around in the states with headlight wipers?

Someday I would like to fab up a small splitter for the front spoiler and paint the spoiler body color. Also the roof has some blemishes in the paint from the roof rack (all but the 2 main rails were taken off.. and I like keeping those 2 there) - so a looong term goal would be to re-spray the body and possibly paint the roof a white/cream color.

I guess thats why its always a work in progress right?

Heck that much time lets me plan and gather funds to do things right, while not devoting all my money into something. I dont mind waiting.

IPD /TME lowering springs? Mine has the same look. Although if you look at the sills the chassis is pretty level, the sizes of the wheel openings are different, and it just makes it look a little higher in the front.

I already scrape the exhaust slightly on the curb on my driveway, so I'm not going to lower the front. So maybe I'll raise the rear slightly somehow, probably make a little perch for the rear spring to sit on that bolts to the lower arm.

B&G/Lesjofors actually. But I also dont want to lower the front too much (city driving, driving on construction sites, etc - Im even worried about 17" having too small a sidewall).

If you do fab up something like what you described let me know, I would be interested to see how it works/how easy it is to make.

Ha!
It's like a red version of mine!
But..my car used to be my parents (i was a baby when we went 2 pick it up from gothenburg, there my dad got the swedish upgrades on the car from Bilia). Then, when I was 13, my dad got in a accident. he was the middle car in a 3 car accident, and the front end was smashed (needed a new grill, hood, bumper, headlights, and turnsigs, foglights). The back needed a new tailgate and a new bumper + lights. It was fixed, but my dad was too cheap to restore the eggcrate grill (w. the lambda emblem) and the european style (like your's) turn sig. lenses. But, he fixed the swedish plate in front. As for now, I plan on getting a eggcrate, and e-codes w. piaa xenons in the front. I also want the metal bumper strips (as in the euro models). And, headlight wipers woudnt be bad. But, I have something that you don't. Ha! I have euro side indactors w. the volvo emblem. I also want pegs or maybe Polarsies. I also like the clear taillight lenses. Many upgrades are ahead for me.

Automatics are the best I say.
I am a huge fan of doing nothing while I drive.
I am....a human....cup holder.

Your car looks great. A huge fan of the red hue.

wow, i need to do some work on my car now again to deserve these comments. Broke the transmission mount a few weeks ago and I realllly need to find time to fix it. Plus a few other things here and there - then a nice day long detailing session.

Sitting at 193k miles right now and gaining approx. 350-400 per week. Engine feels strong but I wonder when I should consider doing something along the lines of a B230FT swap.

needs moar lowering!

how hard was the fender turn signal install? I'm tempted, but I know with the red I am asking for discolored spots if I were to ever remove any badges

Not that hard. I first used a flathead screwdriver to pry off the badges, second, i poped my hood, and with the given wiring by ipd, i connected it to my front signals, and wired back by the side of the fender. then I wired out the cable out of the hole behind where the badge used to be (all 240's come with the hole, b/c all euro spec 200's came with them (they just put the badges over the hole for us spec's), and I connected the wires to the turn signals. Then, its very simple. The end of the side indicator has a sorta-kind of plug which goes in the whole. Then, I went to my local Kragen/Shucks, and got a sticky backing for the emblem. And presses it on. DONE DEAL!! And, it adds a nice rare look to your 240!!
