So today was the BBQ for my 242 build. I had 3 other turbobrickers and my friends there helping with getting the B230FT ready for the swap. All of the mounts were switched, intermediate shaft swapped, new distributor put in, and the old hole plugged. Funny story about that actually, I forgot to buy the plate that IPD sells to plug the old distributor hole, so we went over to my friend's house to see if anything he had could be used and to pick up some other random parts. He had a distributor plug for a Porsche 944 S2 and we looked at it for about 2 seconds. We all had this confused look on our face and then thought that it might work on my motor. Sure enough, it was the perfect fit and now I have a distributor plug from a Porsche on my Volvo motor. I'm practically driving a Porsche now. Anyway, steak, burgers, chips, and beer were all enjoyed but we got hung up on the spacer right at the flywheel. Because the motor was from an automatic car and we're now putting the manual transmission from the 240 on it, the spacer is the correct diameter for the automatic flywheel instead of the manual one I have. Also, the oilcooler needs to be swapped now because I recently purchased a euro catless downpipe from dietchwerks who, by the way, I've been getting all of my car parts WITH EASE AND NO PROBLEMS from, and the oil filter gets in the way of the downpipe. Should be a simple swap with little to no problems. So in summary, I think the BBQ was a success and you should stay posted for the next one. Thanks to all that came.

Peace

Gotta have 10 more HP from the Porsche cam plug.
The food was great, adn we got alot done. It should fall right together now with a little more work.
And I got home last night at 1am, not bad considering I left SJ at 840 and had to stop for gas.

Did you end up stopping in Sac to jump in your parents' pool?
