View Full Version : Pimpin' with my Propii
My spacers arrived from Dale today- for anyone who needs adapters, buy them from Dale (245gti). The quality is superb and they are a bespoke item..
Thanks very much Dale- you're a star.
Anyways, I got the adapters and my Propus C 7.5x17 wheels fitted in my lunch break. Tyres are 235/40x17 and fit a 7.5" rim perfectly. I torqued the wheels and adapters to 85ftlbs (C70 spec) as that's the car the wheels came off, and my reckoning is that the higher torque spec is due to the FWD offset.

what kind of gauges are those they look good wiht your interior.
Just to tease a little- here he is shifting the M90. :-D
He's not spoilt though, until a few months ago he had to shift an M46 as my car was made one month too early to get an M90 as standard :grrr:

He loves it when "daddy does a spinny" and is also known to say "it's alright mummy, daddy's car just went psssssshhhhhhh!" (HKS SSQV and Tina not happy when I put my foot down).
The gauges are Autogauge smoked. They look very cool in anything other than direct sunlight- when you can't see 'em. At night they light up with a white led light and look awesome, although I've never been able to get a steady pic of them- this is the best one I have:
http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/2041/gaugeslit17mn.th.jpg (http://img65.imageshack.us/my.php?image=gaugeslit17mn.jpg)
I've done a clickable thumbnail as it's a 1600x1200 image and I can't be arsed to resize it!
I made the pod by cutting the gauge cups off a generic A pillar pod, sanding them to fit my A pillar trim profile, drilling and filing out a hole to fit and plastic welding them in from behind with a soldering iron.

The only thing Id want to change is the ride height, but you probably have reasons for not lowering it (more?).
Looks fantastic even so :-D. Now I want a set of those.
I lowered it on Jamex springs last week! :grrr:
To be honest it could do with going down an ich at the rear.
The springs haven't had a chance to settle yet as it's not been driven on more than a mile or two since I changed them. I'll make a descision in a few weeks as to whether I should start chopping springs or not.
Only problem is that there's a vicous speed hump at the end of my road so I can't go too low.

 Sorry mate. I thought it looked lower than stock, that first pic just makes it look tall. Still, lower is better. :-P

Don't worry, unless i get up really early and lower my car and then take it to be tracked up, its not going to be running on polaris, it'll be on draco's that can have there tyres scrubbed off.
