Looking good, John. If you're looking for a radiator that isn't Viktor Racing coloured, give me a call. I may have one laying around.

thanks, yea i actually have another one that im going to get made into a triple core rad. the one in there now has a slight green discolouration, im guessing from the copper content of the rad fins?

yea its a bit dangerous with its current set up if your not used to it, i have a switch in the interior and a quick disconnect in the engine bay that i use when im working in the car, i find without the shroud it gives you a lot more area to work, but i do have plans for a shroud in the near future.

I've never really understood the whole labeling parts before you remove them thing. If you do it all yourself, your head's the label.
Nice car.
wires wires everywhere!
Wires are where it's at. I should put superfluous decorative wires in my engine bay just to make it look cooler.

BTW...that's a black GT for those of you who pay attention to details like that...
And Isaac, some of us have other things to think about so labeling everything isn't an option... Try wiring up an R-sport cluster that was in a 240 series car and putting it in a 142 without labeling anything. You might be good, but your not that good.

thanks man, yea i the whole labeling thing was more due to the fact i wasnt working on it consistantly, a couple times it sat for a week or so without any work done to it so i had to make sure i kept it straight, plus im a newb when it comes to this so i thought id cover all my grounds :)

hey, well from start to finish it took me just over a year, mostly due to the fact it was a huge learning experience for me AND i had some major problems with a machine shop in calgary(they were going out of business and didnt tell me and ended up taking 4 months just to machine the block, crank etc, then finally they ended up skipping town and i had to track them down in another city and threaten legal action if they didnt return my stuff). the actual swap took me 3-4 weeks, because as i went along i realized i was missing more parts then i thought. Wiring the megasquirt was pretty straight forward and from the time my motor was in and mechanically set up it only took a day to get it wired up and running.
I still have some things to work out such as:
- replacing gas feed line(from filter to fuel rail- it drips every so often)
- clean up wiring
- figure out some mounts for the exhaust because it rattles against the body a bit
- and some miscellaneous stuff like putting the timing cover back on and repainting some of the engine bay
as for specs of the motor:
- rebuilt b21ft block
- 1st overbore mahle pistons
- rotating assembly balanced
- rebuilt 398 head
- b230 intake mani and throttle body
- 3 bar fuel rail w/greentops
- stock b21ft ignition(for now)
- megasquirt fuel management
- A-cam (timed straight up for now- will advance around 6 degrees)
- stock 740 intercooler and piping
- perma cool electric fan- running off a hayden adjustable relay
- catless 2 1/4 exhaust
- stock garrett t3 turbo
- K & N cone filter(if you can call that a mod lol)
