is there much a difference that i would need to get a 16g instead of a 15g? with a b230ft i going to swap in my car.
i am gonna run 16 psi

hoge difference .. one is a TD05 and the other is a TD04 ... it is comparing two very different sized turbos.

the 15g will spool a lot sooner, tho the 16g will make more peak power. the 16g will be more expensive and take a lot more effort to get it to bolt up to a 90+ manifold, while a 15g setup and ready to go can run anywhere from $150-450. while a 16g is prob anywhere from $400-600

point is what is the goal for the car? what wil it be used for? just a daily driver? lots of low speed around town stuff? do you want really good low end grunt? or more or a top end killer?

he ment 16g he has been talking about it in a few other threads

but yea the 16g is a lot more effort just because you either have to run a volvo TD05 housing and have it machined out for teh TD05H turbine wheel, OR make a hybrid with a 16g compressor and TD05 turbine wheel and use it on a pre 90 manifold as it is not really 'bolt' on to a 90+. OR get a hahn racecraft td05h-16g

otherwise a 16t is the same as a 15g, just a little larger efficency island in the mid range otherwise same peak power

yes they did come with a TD04xx-16g

BUT(see below)
they are tdo4, i don't know ifit is 16g

yes it was a 16g, same as some evo's

that is one issue but if that was the case you could swap it into a TD04HL volvo housing ...


BUT

they are reverse scrolll ... SO even if it fits they spin the wrong way, so we can not use thier wheels or compressor housing in any of our parts

so, i will just go with a 15g i guess, in general, do those ebay turbos from the companys suck? i will just get one from the lostartof

What type of work would have to be done to fit this on a 90+ ?

machine the manifold flat and that might be it .. i have yet to have one in my hands so i can not comment on the spacing and setup of the turbine housing if it will work. i have been told it does but untill i can have it in my own hands its just what i've been told
