I am trying to build my B21ft up to 300hp, I already have alot of supporting mods and the only thing that is holding me back now is the stock 42/48 t3, I don't want to take it past 16 PSI.I have been leaning towards a 60/63 because they are cheap and lag doesn't really bother me, will this turbo support 300hp?

b21ft's have low compression, only b21 i really know about with that kind of power was a k24(s60r turbo)

My head has been shaved twice, so id imagine the CR is at least 8:1

300 is very doable w/the stout b21ft, so if you want 300 crank a super 60 might make it, but you should buy a t4 comp kit from me, i just orderd 10 more....
the low comp just means you need more boost, but you can run way more boost w/o as good a tune, kjet will never make it though

good cam(K or ipd or v15)
upgrade ic
good hoses
msd coil
colder plugs
port matching the head would help
90+
25psi boost on a 47mm(ish) t4

and shaving the head is a little counter productive for performance(more comp, less squish), but the low comp will help
bigger injectors and some form of efi(msns)

I am currently running 15-16 psi without the terminal 11 mod, and it still reads rich even at 15 psi.I know k-jet isn't the greatest thing in the world but I would like to see how far I can take it, even if I dont make it to 300hp,my mods are:B230 intake, ported 90+,ipd turbo cam, 255 lph intank, adj cam gear, air box mod, gutted cat, greddy RS BOV, tuned fuel distributor,NGK iridium plugs, and 10.44mm plug wires.Any thing else I might need to meet my goal, I know I need msd ignition and powerstroke or NPR IC, and the next time I blow an HG I will replace the BCP 160 with a ported SCP 398.Ben, do your turbo's use a T4 compressor housing, how much better is it than the 60 trim T3 compressor housing

not just the housing, a t4 wheel backing plate and housing, the problem w/ kjet is it is a restrictor plate, you will see large gains just from removing it, i love kjet, very reliable, you are on the right track, ic, turbo, and head will get you about as far as you can go w/kjet

t4 coldside waywayway better than t3, how much better depends on what size you go with, i would use the smallest t4 before the biggest t3, about the same flow rate but more eff and capable of more boost, and from there you can go to larger wheels....

i would go ahead and put on the head first, it will work better w/a larger comp wheel

and shaving the head is a little counter productive for performance(more comp, less squish)Nope, shaving the head doesn't effect squish at all. Squish is the distance from the head surface to the top of the piston. Sooo, more compression, same squish. Good stuff. A thinner HG would be a sweet thing with the new head.

If you're getting a big turbo, even a 60/63, do be sure to get a big IC too, they should almost always go hand in hand. Do the terminal 11 mod especially with the boost levels you're running now, have it set for like 12-14psi.

He could make 300hp with K-Jet. He just might also need a piggy back to help him get there. It's been done.

I have done the terminal 11, I just leave it unhooked because it overfuels, fuel is definetly not the issue, airflow is.Hey Ben, how much does one of your T4 hybrid comp kits cost, I might be intrested. So your saying I can just get an old t3 with a .63 turbine from an early 240 turbo, and adapt the T4 comp kit, sounds cool

ms is cheaper or just as cheap as any piggyback, so i wouldnt really see why bother with a piggy

Well, I would go with MS regardless. I was just stating a fact.
