Well I was getting increasingly frustrated with trying to do modifications to the 740 and still
use it daily, if i didn't finish a mod the same day, i'd be on my motorbike freezing my nads off.

I decided i wanted something kinda practical but quite quick prefably turbocharged,
with goodies like, leather, air con, cruise control and such like with a manual box,
i had some delibrating but ended up deciding on purchasing what I once had for a short while as a company car,

So I decided to spend 6k and purchase a Saab 9-3 2.0 Aero Hot.

But something was niggling me, it was the fact that I knew that in 12Months time,
my 6k would be worth 4k and 18months 2k and so on and so on.

So Whilst i was still delibrating, I cast my eye around and something kinda
fell into my lap that met my critera, so I snapped it up.

Lets take a look around it, shall we.

http://www.chesh.co.uk/940sport/exhaust.jpg

Hmm kinda sporty exhaust.

http://www.chesh.co.uk/940sport/interior.jpg

Well that the Aircon / Leather / Cruise and Full Electric pack ticked off,
oh and bonus manual gearbox, didnt know what gearbox it had when I rushed up to Blackpool to view it.

http://www.chesh.co.uk/940sport/towbar.jpg

Hmm detachable towbar, thats kinda done the practical.

http://www.chesh.co.uk/940sport/turbo+.jpg

Casting our eyes around a bit further, theres a handy helpfull sticker???

http://www.chesh.co.uk/940sport/boostvalve.jpg

Well damm it has got it!!!!

http://www.chesh.co.uk/940sport/engine.jpg

So that'll be the B230FT with 190bhp straight from the factory.

Jeez I hope this thing's equipped to deal with all that power.

http://www.chesh.co.uk/940sport/axle.jpg

Locker that'll help.

http://www.chesh.co.uk/940sport/rimandsuspension.jpg

Lowered Suspension from the factory and some wideish rims.

http://www.chesh.co.uk/940sport/spoiler.jpg

Added Downforce is allways good!!

And best of all the colour is Mettalic Black.

All in all I'm quite pleased, a 1996 940 Sports Edition Estate
for not a lot of money, I love buying cars at xmas when no one
has cash or are desperate to sell for some cash.

Big thanks to BBQ aka Mark for meeting up with me for Lunch
and donating some oil from his works van for it.

Few Minor Jobs to do on it, but nothing much more than a Stage 0 Service really.

Oh yeah, I'm still going to buy the Saab, but only when its
depriciated down to 2k ish.

It cost the same in Pounds as the model number of the 2 door coupe that Volvo never sold here in the UK.

Definitely a bargain, Pete.

I still say stop modding the 740 and start on the 940- it's got most of the good bits already!

You really got a bargain. A beautiful car. We didn't get much of that good stuff that car has. Over here if you try to buy a nice 940 for cheap you get a total piece of **** for $2k. That car was less money with all the goodies you'd want. Enjoy!

Now all you need to do is an Electronic Climiate Control conversion :-P

Have all the Electronic Climate Control bits ready and I'll do the conversion for you :-D
