My birthday is March 21 and my roomate is being discharged (honerably of course) from the US Marines on the 23rd.

Why should you care? Ask any turbobricks member who attended my 2005 X-Mas party....this party will supercede the previous.

Can you say, "Inflatable Castle" in the front yard with "Themed Female Servers" supplying the beverages and food?

Hopefully a sound system will be provided :oogle:

Sean, I got a coffin with the turntables and a basic mixer. I just need the PA to plug into. And if you guys want CDs, it's be cool to have a CD player. If not, I'll just hook the laptop up and use that.

Honestly, when me and Scott talked awhile back it sounded like he had all of the equipment. I just don't know if he's bringing it!

You got Technics 1200s Scott? If not, I'll bring my coffin with the 1200s.
What exactly are you planning on bringing out?

4 18" Subwoofers, 4 15" woofers and some 2" drivers mounted on some horns. We've got a 14,000 square foot warehouse and it is pretty bumping for that space. Depending on who is around; there may be a Turbosound rig brought instead. If you have the head unit, then we can really make this happen. A couple of my friends may come through who play dance music.

Sup Alex!

I'll be putting a post together later today asking people to bring various things to BBQ/eat. Let me know what you feel like bringing.

It appears that Coupe de grace is not going to be able to make it and that means he won't be bringing his "no charge" sound system.

The coffin set up with a few turn tables sounds awesome. I don't need someone spinning all day/night, but it would be cool to have some records playing, especially during the croquet tournament.

If someone wants to bring some small cabinets with like 15"s and a small amp that would be key. We don't need the cops coming by like last time (twice :omg: ).

Ok folks here's the deal.....

The BBQ party will begin around 12pm-1pm. I need RSVPs (guests included) and I'm asking everyone to bring some food to share. We have a grille and a large kitchen to prepare dishes. I am also asking everyone of age to bring at least a 6 pack of beer. This is very important!

The days activities will include a croquet tournament so be sure you bring a fruity sweater to tie around your neck while you play (I'm serious....go to Good Will). Beer-pong/ping-pong will be in full swing as well as Guitar Hero (we have two guitars) and a full assortment of Wii games (we have 4 controllers).

There will be either an inflatable "jump castle" or a boxing ring with sumo suits and boxing gloves.

If there are enough Volvos we can go for an afternoon cruise BEFORE anyone starts drinking. We'll play this by ear. If not, then we can just bench race in the garage as it seems like everyone on here is a pro bench racer.

After the sun goes down the real fun starts. We hired two security guards to man the front gate to keep any young annoying kids out of our house. We live real close to a college and a few highschools. The kegs will be tapped at this time and two cocktail waitresses will be serving beer for everyones enjoyment. I hope that the turn tables will be spinning and if not we'll figure something else out.

This is a combo party....my birthday, my room mates getting out of the marines, and a house warming party for our new female roomate (single by the way).

Alex Buchka
03-19-2007, 04:10 PM
Sean, this sounds like a party for the ages. It should be a ton of fun.

I will be bringing myself, my twin brother Karl, and possible one more person (to be determined in the next couple of days). I will let you know the final count asap. I'll bring beer and some food.

I'll be there plus a six-pack of Newcastle. I'm not sure what I'll do for food, I'll probably grab a few bags of chips or something. If you'd rather I actually made something tell me and I'll try and get an idea together.

If somebody can assure me they're bringing a PA (amplifier and speakers at least), I'll bring my turntables, mixer, and all my trance/house records. If you want to bring other records, bring them. I'll also bring my a pigtail to hook up a CD player (probably use my laptop) or anybody's iPod.

As long as it's ok with Sean, anybody may bring their records, CDs, and iPod to be played or plugged. I do not give a rats ass, but don't bitch if I'm the only one who brings records and all we have on vinyl is trance music that isn't manly enough for you guys. DO NOT ASK FOR SANDSTORM.

Sean, if it's ok with you I might bring somebody along to help me lug my gear down there. (Unless James-Alphanumeric wouldn't mind helping me load it before he headed down) Or I might not.
