How do I see the difference between 244 and 744 taillights??

I've always had really hard times doing that!

Now there's a guy wanting to sell me a brand new taillight for cheap, but he's not sure if its for 240 or 740...

Someone that can help me??

740 for sure.

Note the gasket (looks like) in the 740 pics, vs no such animal in the 240 lights, my money is on 740 lights in the first post.

740 for sure, my 240 ones doesn't look like that.. easy to see the difference on the inside.

oh oh, BIG difference..

The 240 ones are only mounted with FOUR screws, I see five on those pictures..

Another trick is that the 700 series ones have an 'extra' bulb holder location (not used) on the outside red lamp. You can see it in the sellers pics, if you look carefully.

Thanks guys! I knew I could trust you on this one :)

I bought it now, It will help me with my future plans for tails with white turn signals :)

But agree with me that it's not the easiest to see the difference between them

btw, you can even see it on the angle where the light wraps around the corner.. the 744 ones are almost 90 degrees, while the 244s ones aren't that sharp..

not soo easy maybe, but still pretty doable.
