i'm going to buy my MS kit this week, and i'm thinking that for the extra $60, i should really just get the 4 bar map w/ barometric conversion kit from diyautotune.

the only problem i see, is a map sensor with a larger range is bound to have ****tier resolution... right? is the 4 bar map sensor a better built sensor because it can take a larger range of pressures with the same or better accuracy, or does that mean that because it can deal with a larger range of pressures, that it wont be as accurate?

do you know what i'm trying to say? I know someone must understand what i'm asking here.

edit: and that way i know, that no matter how i tune my car, it'll act properly no matter where i decide to go... which is nice piece of mind, but also, just seems like the better way to do things... the more things you monitor, the more information you have in which to make the motor run better right? (even if its only the computer doing it on a very miniscule sense)

sensor has more resolution than the ms

so is it worth it or not?

i never used baro untill a week or so ago, i think i a going to turn it back off, went a year w/o, so i should be fine, the 4bar is cool if you want to run 40psi

you can get a dual map from diy auto tune and go with full time baro corr

I have the 4bar, but never had it above 15 before the motor blew, ill let you know how it goes in about 3 weeks!

4 bar is up to you, if you're ever going to need fine tuning above 22psi.

The extra open air map sensor for real time baro correction is neat, very neat, but only if you're constantly driving in all kinds of different altitudes. I've always had the stock baro correction on, but this summer driving through lots of mountains I realized that the settings were WAY wrong cause it caused the car to run stooooopidly lean. I changed the settings to where they're supposed to be then drove across the country and back with NO problems whatsoever. Across the rockies, down to sea level, it all worked like a charm, AFR's stayed exactly where I put them. So the stock baro works pretty nicely.

Hope that helps,
John

wow 4x post, thats great.

So I don't understand, I bought the 4 bar one, it has 2 sensors, and does correction with one of them?

my edit button isnt working, i thought you needed 2 seperate sensors wired in to get correct baro correction
