That's not the first time I've seen WRX hoodscoops on S40s.

Must be a trend:

Just looked at it again, and it looks more like a 2.5RS scoop.

doesn't look all that out of place there, does make it look kinda like a subaru

the subie wing actually works very well to compliment the s40.

If his claims are true, I am impressed. Would look a LOT better without the wing, or at least a more subtle one.

why do people think that making a car look like a Impreza is cool. All the time they do it, they end up something ugly like a Frankenstains monster. Nice smooth s40 and they slapp on this weird wing that only suits japanese rice mobile.

yeah that's a quick little bitch if he can really pull 110 in the 1/4

+1, now only if it was AWD, or RWD so the wing would actually be worth while.

looks like his engine bay got in a fight with a few ketchup packets...and lost...

stylings not my pick, but 320hp from an S40 is rather respectable

That scoop really compliments the body lines of that car... Functionally, meh - but it looks nice.

narrowband a/f gauge! haha

Hmm interesting. I'd like to see some engine specs for curiosity's sake. Blotto it looks to me like he might just need that sorta a/f narrow band idiot light (if it says lean then chances are you are lean who cares by how much you have a problem). That is if his claims are true.

The fact he considers it to weigh 3900lbs calls every other number on that page into scrutiny.....

it is the impression of many people that if you have a FWD car a rear wing will not help you.

Thats a really sloppy and unfinished looking screen install. I hope thats a work in progress...

I guess its the newer ones. It just seems more of a lower profile than a WRX scoop.

And it says the wing is an Evo wing?

It needs to get lower. That's my main complaint.

its a wrx scoop. you're thinking of th STi scoop, which is monstrous

Atomic
02-27-2007, 09:58 PM
That's an Mitsu. Evo wing, not an Sti wing... but I think the scoop looks decent, same with the wing.

That IC pipe looks photoshopped in. A WRX or STI would be a much better car than that little ricer wannabe ****box

That S40 had some potential, but then they put the wing on it...

I remember years ago in the mailing list i wanted to do a suby scoop and a new intercooler set up, people laughed

That is an STi scoop from the looks of it in the first few pics. Much larger, definitely STi

Well it is a mitsubishi
Windscreen (and 1.8 litre petrol engine on later models) are allegedly the only common parts...:-P

cheers

That looks to be an AEM wideband, very similar to one that was in my Mustang.

And while were on the subject of wrong wheel drive, looks like the new Mondeo is getting the 2.5t volvo engine as well. Ford should send the love our way.
