I'll be triggering off the crank pos. sensor, so i ASSUME that i want to trigger from a hall sensor right?

* Jumper XG1 to XG2 on the bottom side of the PCB, near the 40 pin socket,
* Jumper OPTOIN to TACHSELECT on the bottom side of the PCB, near the DB37 connector, opposite the heat sink.
* Jumper TSEL to OPTOOUT on the bottom side of the PCB, near the center.

so i should do that?

my MS is communicating with the computer, and everything works but the tach signal, oh, and i put my 3 led's in backwards (go figure, LAST step, everything else was perfect...)

edit: v3.0 board, running MS1 stock code (for now)
edit 2: i also have no igniton driver circuit installed for now because i have yet to figure out what coils i'm gonna use.

I think the crank sensor is a vr sensor, not a hall sensor.

hmm... well that goes against what i thought i knew, but now i need to know for sure.

The lh2.2 block mounted distributors have hall sensors, the lh2.4 flywheel sensors are vr sensors (which I ASSume you are using).

The k-jet distributors had vr sensors too.

yes, i'm using the lh2.4 crank sensor, which is a VR as you've just enlightened me. Thank you now hopefully i can get this board working fully.

or the VR sensor:

* Jumper VRIN to TACHSELECT on the bottom side of the PCB (near the DB37, opposite the heat sink.)
* Jumper TSEL to VROUT (Or VROUTINV if you want the VR input to be inverted) on the bottom side of the PCB, near the center.

so do i want inverted or not?

:e-shrug:

I'm using the 2.2 distributor and haven't looked at the vr sensor info much.

Sorry, Aaron

nevermind i got it figured out and i made jumpers that are nice and easy to change while i was at it, so now i can select anything i want with minimal effort.

you don't need to invert the VR.

you don't need to invert the VR.

Why? I thought it says you do on the extra website.

not for the volvo. the VR gets inverted when regular vrin gives problems. I've not run into any problems with the volvo vr sensor and running the vr circuit wired through vrin.
