Will a b23f piston fit a 230 engine, i understand the b23 n/a pistons were flat tops, cheers les.

the Rod pin center to piston crown is taller in the 23 if i remember rightly.

Cheers mike, sounds like another cunning plan has just hit the buffers.

All the ones i have seen have had small dishes in them, maybe the earlier ones were flat tops, i've just aquired a 90 760 for parts which has a 530 turbo head on which will give me 10-1 cr, hell i don't even know if this +t is going to work properly yet, should know this weekend or next depending on the weather.

I've got a spare set of B230ET pistons and 13mm rods if you're interested.

46mm center of pin to crown on the B20/B21/B23
39,7 mm for B200/B230

So only about a quarter inch taller so 32:1 compression one way, or 3.2:1 compression t'other.

And that's ignoring the 23mm pin to 24mm pin.

Would that make it an interference engine, sorry i couldn't resist.

How about a thick gasket, no, ok then.

Thanks for the offer mark, i'm not short of different dish pistons, however if you or anyone else has some flat tops that'll fit a 230 i'm interested.

I'm at a bit of a loss here Les. Why would you want to make a high compression turbo motor? Have you been reading and believing too many posts on this forum?

Just more research into detonation, i'm stuck with around 10psi so the only way to go is upping the c/r, sutermans dirtwagon was bloody quick but a total pig round town so i'm not really interested in 20psi, 10psi and the c/r as high as it'll go will do me also it will last longer, fingers crossed.
