I fly to Vancouver Inter. Air port on Friday, and arrive at 915am

From there I need to head south (the furthest is Olympia) Hopfully the guy (Dan) I'm picking up my new 242Ti from will meet me a bit north (fingers crossed)....

Then Its back to Vancouver Friday night. Probably hang around until Saturday evening.

Then to Kamloops Saturday evening

Sunday to Calgary (anyone without family on Sunday night? Hopfing for a place to sleep for the night?)

Monday back to Winnerpeg.

Anyone wanna do a drive down I5 with me to pick up the 242? My dad will probably be rolling in his 850.

Hummm, friday night is the drags at Mission, assuming it's dry. Come on out! That'd be a great place to meet up with all the locals. Starts at 4:30, ends when we get tired of it (or 11pm).

If it does rain maybe we should have a meet'n'greet around here anyways.

We'll see if I make it back in time. I won't race, have a 2500Km trip to make after.

We'll see

Hey I'll have to drop by and check out the new ride and say hi. I even have my car mainly working now lol. We'll have to do some catching up.

I'm too lazy to drive north this weekend, but feel free to give me a call if anything goes wrong or you need help on Friday evening around Seattle.
Good luck with the new car. Post some pics.

Thanks Neptune, maybe you could PM me your phone number. I think we will be meeting up with the car in Seattle. Probably going to eat lunch. If you want to join, I'm sure it would be fine. Car is coming from another Tbrick member (danmeifret)..

If anything engine wiring related goes wrong, feel free to blame me. :-) I was the one who did the harness and B230 intake install on the car back in late January 2005. I doubt anything will, since it has been runner after the job. The only concern I'd have for it is the exhaust leak at the head. Didn't want to chance snapping exhaust studs, so I didn't touch the nuts on the manifold...

Anyway, gotta hit the hay sometime soon. A trip to Lynnwood Pull-A-Part is in my future for tom'w. Snapped one of the blades off my 245's cooling fan...

Decided not to buy the car.

I got messed up at the boarder and wouldn't be able to make it back across in time on Friday (close at 330 on the american side) and I'd have to wait until Monday to come across. It just left no time to fix the OD and the exhaust leak. The body was a bit rougher than I had hoped. But it would be a good car to someone who didn't need to drive it half way across the country.

450 for plane ticket out here..... 750 for a flight back..... Lessons learned, priceless

(and we spent 4.5 hours just to cross the boarder!)

That is a total bummer. I already have a 240T to put together, so if you are still on the hunt for a good 242T, send me or someone else up north a PM.
Was this DurableSwedish's 81 242T by chance?
Did you cross at Blaine/Peace arch, Lynden or Sumas/Abbotsford?

No, this is a gray/tan '84.5 242Ti. Belongs to a guy by the name of Dan Meifert, south of Olympia. The only car of Collan's I've even seen was his black 244Ti...

Ahhh so that's why you're not in town today. That sucks man. You've gotta find another reason to come out here sometime.
