Here's why, I'll post up more when I get home with it. Road trip! 850 miles in a car that I've never seen in person! Before I go I'm signing up for AAA.

Good luck on the drive. 2 years ago I bought a 144 sight-unseen out of Boise and drove it back to Reno. It was boring, no stereo, driving 9 hours alone in a car with no overdrive.

13 hours with no radio for me. I might install one before I head north. The spousal unit and the kids will be following me in the Elantra. We're making it a 4 day trip.

I want your wheels! Gold or black mesh with polished lips have always been my favorite.

What Kyle said. And a good profit margin didn't hurt either. This will be the 8th 140 and 11th Volvo that I've had. I'm like a Volvo slut, I just can't seem to commit to a long term relationship with one!

edit: Holy crap! I just added them all up! I've been driving for 18 years and this will be my 25th car.

All you need is a power inverter, a set of computer speakers, and an iPod or portable CD player. I did that. For quite a while.

Works prettty well.

So far the trip is off to a less than glorious start. We had meant to leave PDX no later than noon today. After getting dispatched on several service calls (I'm supposed to be on vacation, dammit!) and suffering an extremly bloody nose (f**king sinus infection!), we finally got out of PDX around 2:30. 3 pit stops and 5 hours later we arrived in Medford, where I had to stop and diagnose a trouble call at a local customer. After a nasty dinner at Elmers I returned to the Shilo Inn, needing to send out several urgent work related emails. Oh noes, the corporate exchange server is down! No problem, I log into my comcast account and compose a very long, detailed, and important email that promptly disappears when I click on send. Do over! Bah, I'm going to bed. Hopefully things will be smoother tomorrow and on the return trip over the weekend! At least I have AAA Plus now...

Back in Oregon. Went down to SLO from Watsonville Saturday morning and drove it back to Watsonville via hwy 1. Great drive and a nice way to feel out the car. We got a late start north this morning and took our time getting back to Medford. Tomorrow I'll be back in Portland. Other than a slight miss (I only felt it twice) going up the mountain passes it has so far been flawless. If it makes the rest of the trip without incident I'll be a very happy man! (fingers crossed!)

Good deal! Now, here's some news you want to hear... Hahaha, Jeff's 142(Swdspd) is QUITE nice... Could use a new pass. side door if you ask me(but it'll pass) and some paint, but otherwise the thing is damn solid. Might want the rear brake lines replaced, but holy SHEET I've never heard such a quiet b20, that idles sooooooooooo smooth. Wow. I drove it, and came away quite impressed.
