Found these at a junkyard for $5 a peice.. kinda cracked in a few places but they cleaned up well enough:

I also got new turn signals, yellowed out the stock fog lenses and blacked out the chrome headlight housing trim. It turned out looking pretty good, IMO, for thirty bucks total.

I have a set for a 240 down in the basement if anybody wants them. They wouldn't fit over e-codes.

edit: OOPS, the covers I have are for a 740 (pre-'90). Sorry 'bout that. They are made by Wade, have never been installed and are still available.
Hahahahah. I had a friend.. Eh, acquaintance.. That would have loved that on his sophia.

I would be willing to bet that GTS still makes um' special order.. :)
Few years ago I ordered a clear set and a smoked set for my 88'XR4TI... They made um'-took about a week, and they have to be even more rare.I am pretty sure if they once made them, they will make them for you. They seem to be a pretty cool company.

That's cool, I think the clears make sort of a neat subtle addition the car.
Never seen glasses on a Volvo before...

Actually I have a set for a 240 that WILL fit over e-codes (they're from Australia, so we all got e-codes)... They have lines on them and look like a very slightly mismatched pair, some very minor cracks but otherwise good. I don't really want them hanging around when I can't use them, anyone want them? You pay shipping + $5, you get them. I'm in Brisbane Australia.

The acrylic headlight covers are pretty rare, but I see them fairly often around here, generally in sad shape. The 740 ones tend to be a bit more common than the 240 ones, and I think they look better since they are smaller. The genuine volvo ones have the black lines on them and Volvo printed on the face. GTS, Wade, and at least a couple other companies in the US made good versions.
I noticed that I gain a couple mpg when I have mine on. And I'm less likely to get a rock through a headlight.
I have a pair of Wade ones I bought two or three years ago.

I would get some plasic cleaner and polish and spend some time on yours. They do clean up pretty well. Procedure is basically the same as polishing a plastic 240 headlight.

^they look nice!....Yeah,the best part about the ones on the XR is that I could keep the headlights from yellowing.
