:ninja:

let me help you guys understand.. the cost of the track is 1500 bucks... I have the option to pay half "750$" as a non refundable deposit to hold the date.. But I am not willing to hold out for the other 750 bucks from guys saying they will have the money by then soo if I cant get group to fork up the cash in the next 2 weeks or so it just wont happen. So find the money if you can.. If the track day fills up in 2 weeks your out of luck and will have to hope someone is willing to sell there spot..

Good luck

dumb question...what happens in 10 days/2 weeks? What if no one else reserves that date for another month? Is it just a matter of doing it early to make sure we get the date, or is there some rule from the track owner about booking X number of days in advance?

I'm out. If I get my car down there, I'll just buy Kenny's spot when his car breaks.

M/C Team Lease $1,500.00 weekday
Max 10 participants
Max 3 bikes on track at one time
No aggressive passing
Ambulance required
4 corner workers recommended

it also says lower down that the ambulance is an extra $600
I didn't know if that needed to be worked into the price

Paypal heading your way tomorow
Is it possible to just enter one car and have 3 of us wisconsonites share the time in it?

Perhaps, you might want to think about wear on the car though. the 20-30 minute sessions are tough on your car with multiple sessions back to back because of different drivers your are just asking to break something... Unless your car is really sorted I dont know if i would trust it 30 hours from home.

last year there was nothing, no corner workers, and no ambulance. the track layout is great for that though. you probably watched the vid, but as a reminder, it's flat and there are NO trees or other obstacles that block the line of sight from the pit lane to the rest of the course. assume that's still just aimed at the bikes, since they are more likely to be injured if they go off course.

I also think it has to do with cars on track at a time. We decided to keep the cars on track to 3, (camera cars aren't supposed to be counted :-P) If we did more we would probably would have had to opt for the ambulance option.

i havent been told an ambulance is needed or it wasent last year but i will look into that.. as for the 3 person 1 car deal.. lets just keep it to one person to each car.. we did swap out and drive each others diffrent cars last year but only with cars that had been on the track during the duration of the day.. And the 10 day thing is mainly a guideline for them holding the date for us.. Basicly if after 10 days they dont have the cash they will take our name off the list and the date wont be reserverd anymore.. If no one else requests the day than we wont loose the day and could pay it off closer to the day of the event but i personally dont want to risk it.. And also as last year I am not depending on the SE meet to fill it out and have posted info on the event to other forums to try to get some local intrest...

yeah somehow we managed not to crash into each other with 3 cars on a 1 mile track. that would be hard to do though, being on such a flat, open track. wait til you ride around the shenandoah circuit...

and each DRIVER was paid up in full. car doesn't matter as long as it passes tech ( )

I also wouldn't hand my keys over to very many people and let them run it around a track. think about that, their experience, and yours. the track is short, but that means the straights are short and the brakes get a work out. good pads and good fluid are a must. I boiled the fluid after my first session because I didn't take a cool down lap. wasn't even pushing hard, since it was my first time on the track.

we have a vechicle with a tow dolly comming with us, (towing volvhoe's 242 down) so it can take whatever car breaks back with us
and oddly enough, I'm the only one out of the 3 that doesn't have extensive racing experience
buzz owns and runs a group c porsche (1300hp 800kg)

Its easy to get the time off when you tell them before you start. Once you start it will be much harder.

sorry i just got back from VIR.so its kinda hard to find a better course layout than that.

it's actually pretty cool for a small course. with the old configuration last year, you could see the entire course from pit lane. in my n/a car, it was all 2nd/3rd gear, so the speeds were very reasonable. the turn at 3'oclock was banked quite a bit, and flat out in 3rd in my car at 70-something MPH. the light grey where the track used to go formed a front straight with a fast entry that wasn't quite straight under braking. the hairpin in the middle is FLAT, so it takes paitience and a good line. and the hairpin at the upper right was a pretty fast entry, slightly banked and quicker than the flat hairpin.

hey now, it's not the tracks fault that some people can't drive. LOL but ya i know what you are talking about, i've gotten pretty lucky there once or twice, thank god for porsche's lift oversteer

Hey I wrecked and I wasn't even on the track.... REAGAN SMASH!!!!

I only got some rides around the course and they were hella fun. W/ Towery in his 244 for a couple of full throttle laps and a couple of DORIFTOOO runs. And with Billy in his 744 for a few full out laps and some fuel pressure failures.

Hella fun anyway.
