guage cluster conversion

i have a 1990 744 and i am switching to a dash from a 1995 944. this requires i switch the guage cluster as the dash contour is different. i noticed the plugs on the back of the guage clusters are not the same. is there an easy way to solve this problem so they will work properly? has anyone else done this and care to share?

bumpty bump..... i really need help on this i have the wiring diagrams but would like to know if there is a better way to do it.

Do you have the connectors for the '95 cluster? If not, go and pull a set off a wrecked car. Read your wiring diagrams carefully, then remove the wires from your old connectors to the corresponding position on the new connectors. Plug the new connectors to your new cluster and you're done!
