Alright guys, Im hopng somebody might be able to help us out here...

Me and eamonn (hockey930) have been trying to figure this out for going on 2 days now. I have a self-built MSnS v2.2 board unit wired up in my car running the same firmware his 760 is/was running and it has kenny's board mod for the hall input to another pin on the board to xg1. I have a 330 ohm resistor between a switched 12v and pin 24 (yes, its always on) and a 10 ohm resistor between a 12v wire and the + terminal on the block mount 2.2 dizzy (004). The problem is that when plugged into the computer, we are getting no movement of the tach on megatune and when we rapidly ground out the sensor wire we dont get any movement of the tach in megatune. This really really really has me and him stumped. BTW I am usng the harness I bought from diyautotune. Can anybody help me out here?

well guys, i think i figured something out...

I did a "bench test" of 3 different hall sensors: hook + to + battery term, - to - batt terminal, and the signal to one probe on a voltmeter and the other probe to the neg batt terminal. The effect was the same on all 3 sensors; it would go between 0 and ~.05v. So, I decided to hook up a 1.5k ohm pull-up on the signal wire and bam, it worked, variance between 0 and 12.xx volts.

Now what schematic to use when wiring it up to squirt?

schematic 2 if you haven't already gotten past this. If you have, how did you wire it up?

Ingeniuos! now how did you hook it up? did you put the 1.5k ohm pull-up right on the signal wire with the 330 ohm T'd in?

it goes in place of the 330 resistor?
