Does the amount of hp the alternator sucks up, vary with the amount of electrical energy your car is using at the time.

And it varies with the speed/diameter of pulley (leverage)
The drag at constant speed is low, 1 or 2 hp. The varying speed drag is greater due to the high overdriven ratio of most cars.

Figure it out.
Car makes x kw, the alternator make say 75amp and 14 v, figure the watts.
Then turn the boost up 0.015 psi to compensate
