Import Motion Show Jan 17 Norcal/Bayarea

Hey guys, so far 3 of us are registered and attending Import Motion show in San Mateo on Jan 17. Everyone I've talked to says this is a great show.

Anyone else intrested in going?

hey doug, i went last year, and i have a couple of tips for you to win....

1. chrome your entire engine...blingin' definitely helps
2. get a huge ass park bench of a wing, and chrome that too, bling helps
3. get some chrome spinners (no explanation necessary)
4. get a ford powerstroke or other incredibly large fmic, and chrome it and wire tie it to the front bumper..
5. get like 10 lcd screens and put them every where in your car
6. play some sick japanese porn on said lcd screens

if you follow these simple tips, you too can win at Import Motion.... :rofl:

you know, i think i might go again this year, if i can get my friend with the riced Prelude to drive..... it wasnt that bad, but i took way too many pictures.....

seriously though, the only realistic, non-chrome, daily driven turbo i saw was a t3/t4 hybrid on a h22 prelude...

other than the supercharged dinan bmw's, not a whole lot of practical forced induction... i've got a whole lot of pics, i just need to find a scanner...lots of funny/rice/bling pics...especially the chrome supercharger on an escalade....i almost wet myself when i saw that... :rofl:

i think i might go again this year, since im a whole lot closer now... as opposed to the debauchery filled weekend last year, i can just drive home..

How about you have a sign that says "Turbo" that points at the Holset, and another sign that says "Intercooler" that points to the NPR???

They'd definatly help with some of the idiots at those shows.

Glad to hear you think that... sure am happy you felt the need to declare that in this thread.

From who I've talked to, its supposed to be a good show... graphics/hondas or not. Hey, you want there to be a volvo aftermarket? You gotta get people into the cars... and you have to show the world that volvos are cheap, easy to work on, fast, ect and shows are a good place to do that.

Plus, I enjoy meeting new people, hanging out with new people and video taping the peoples faces as they walk by and see that holset staring at them.

I'm supposed to go down to Sacramento to pick up a set of rims for my 960. Was aiming for sometime in January, but the weather has been getting steadily worse. I may have to just play this one by ear.
