Who are the administrators?

The administrators or "admins" are identified by red usernames. You may view the board leaders from the link at the bottom of the forums list: View Leaders

Originally the turbobricks message board was administered by its creator, Garrett (garrettkjr). Garrett created a message board as an alternative to the turbobricks mailing list in 1996 through ezboard.com. It is currently managed and administered by Dana (boostdemon).

Who are the moderators?

The moderators or "mods" are identified by green usernames. You may view the board leaders from the link at the bottom of the forums list: View Leaders

The moderator team is comprised of a number of members who have been selected by the mod team and administrators to assist the community with day-to-day board maintenance and to ensure that the forums are kept in order. Some of them have made a fun thread about themselves located here: Meet the mods

How can I contact the admin?
You may contact Dana through email: dana@turbobricks.com, through private message using the message board, or through the contact us link at the bottom of the page.

How can I contact the moderators?
Members can request assistance from the moderators by either using the "contact us" link at the bottom of each page, or they can direct attention to a specific thread or post that needs moderation by using the "report post" icon in the lower left corner of each post.

What do I have to do to become a moderator?

As the message board grows and under certain circumstances the moderator team with the advisement of the admin will nominate members to be elected moderators.

Normal etiquette is that if you have to ask for moderatorship you most likely will not be offered it when the time comes. Additionally, members who have been banned for improper behavior are also not considered. Members are selected for nomination based on their participation, maturity, and contributions to the community. Consistent good deeds do not go unnoticed. Friendly advice to other members, lending a hand and giving back to the community, diffusing situations that get out of hand, and keeping your cool are all characteristics that allow a member to stand out in the crowd.
