GDay Angus , i think i will put dibs on the square lights if i may for a bit? I am sorting cars and cash , debts...I may well keep the 245 if the young bloke doesnt pay my asking price. Fix it up or pull off the good and scrap it , maybe i should send you picks of it to judge the body for me..

    Thanks Bloke.
Good god Angus 7600 posts-thats a novel, tried to ring yesterday when i was in bendigo the excitement of geting my own vx3 cam made for a quick trip home to install the thing
my car is just so much better now instead of being a harsh running device reluctant to rev its the smmothest thing at low revs with an interesting burst of insanity above 3500 the h cam i was given turned out to be an x cam well it looks like an H stamped on it till i cleaned it up no loss i guess but had it been an H it would have been good---no need of huge torque low down in a mini volvo now to disable the rev limiter as he vx3 is still pulling quite strong at 6 grand when the limiter shuts everything down
Hello, Angus. I noticed your post in one of the forums, with your 164 blurb in your signature line. It seems like those are becoming increasingly rare. It's one of the few Volvo models I have never owned, but some day. Anyway, if you're interested in an M410, I have one available.
    Hi Angus
I have just got a 245L van wuth 16K on the clock deceased esate from pickles today it looks great under $500 all up also upgraded the car and a 2004 V70R and have the MTE stage 2 tune on it makes a hell of a difference. I dont have your contact number will get it from the volvo club soon or get my number from volvo club web site.

all the best with yours Mark
    Hi Angus,
    Saw your parts for sale and wondering if you could give me a price for the following;

    140 window winders
    Moto Lita 140 hub
    A 140 Hazard Switch
engine bay and luggage compartment lights. Are any of these specific to the 140 series?

Could you also provide postage estimate to Sydney 2000 NSW. If your in Sydney I can just pickup.

    Regards,

    Rohin
planning to bargain for as much mechanical stuff as i can as the boat crowd will get them if i dont
yes mines got that it clips to a bracket on the tunnel just a little open console type thing. i've got to do something with my motor soon as the cam is getting very loud
on a positive note the newly renovated aircon is insane I freeze in the car now next week i'll head to briz to get my clutch bearings and the m400 will be ready to fit
Hey Garth, I've got most of what I need when it comes to used parts, but that plastic compartment behind the gear shifter in the car pictured is interesting, I could see myself using that. Must be an option or a TE thing, most 164's don't have it.
found a very large volvo stash near here--wedderburn 2's and 7's mainly but heaps of the things in a yard next to the tyre shop in wedderburn
Hey Garth, a manual box will really wake the thing up, the BW35 saps away so much power, I converted mine to an M400 and it made a massive difference. I'm putting a blue velour interior in mine from a 240GLE, mine will have a full 240 interior including dash etc. (dash and front seats already adapted) as well as all the power options. I don't think converting an M400 to OD is an option, you'd need to find an M410 to donate several components, mainly the much longer output shaft and the intermediate housing. M410's do exist in Australia in very small numbers, a handful of 164's came with them. Very rare but I have seen two for sale over the years, one from a Melbourne wrecker and one on Ebay.
interesting the overdrive unit in the m410 is identical to the triumph 2000/2.5 unit now to discover what i would have to do to the 400 so it can accept overdrive
guessing a manual TE wont be a common thing
joy joy--- got a m400 and all the necessary stuff to fit it to the titanic. it may just get interesting to drive soon and a new black leather interior is on the way too no more sickly brown stuffed leather to look. at
