this. If you need to ask those questions a standalone is probably not for you
seriously, look into the ostrich if you want to mess with tables, you don't need to rewire any sensors, the install is as easy as chipping the ecu/ezk
Go for a stand alone that offers tons of local support or a great online presence. My vote is megasquirt. Full stand alone for 4-500$ with the whole harness. And there's tons of support and options. If you ask nicely you might find someone on here to build it for you

so i think the megasquirt will be a better option for me.

what MS you run?
you use a original sensors (except a MAF)
How is that? A micro is 340$ and an ms2 is 330 with a harness or 280 without. Easier to tune if you know the inner workings of your ecu. Plus the micro needs an external map sensor, ms2 doesn't.
