MSD 6A Wiring

I got the ignition box portion of the MSD 6A setup, but I'm having trouble finding information about how I would wire the white wire after I obtain a set of MSD coil/distributor/wires. It could also be the green and violet wires, but it looked like the 240 I got this off of was wired with the white wire. The other parts of the ignition setup were missing, so I couldn't get a good idea of how it worked. It doesn't look like there are any related connectors for either of these wires to tap into.

Here's a picture of the instructions on the back of the box.

White wire goes to the negative connection of the original coil.

It uses the signal that would have fired the original coil and amplifies it to the msd coil.

So I'll have two connections off the negative terminal? Seems like a strange way to wire something, I'm glad to know it's that simple. Is there anything else I'll need other than the aforementioned parts, being distributor, ignition coil, and wires?
 
You disconnect the original wire to the coil - and re-connect that wire to the MSD white wire. You then connect the MSD black wire to the now empty coil - terminal. In other words, you splice the MSD box into the middle of the original wire to the coil - terminal.

This is an extremely helpful explanation. I'm far from a wiring specialist, and really appreciate the assistance. It's been weirdly difficult to find this information for me.
 
I'll look into this and see what information is out there, but is there a specific distributor I'll need in order for this to work properly? It looks like there are a lot of options, but there's nothing that comes up in a search for the b230f, and I'm not sure if every 4 cylinder distributor is usable or if another specific model's fits the car.
 
What ECU and Ignition controller are you using? LH2.4/EZK-116, or LH2.2/Chrysler, or KJet/Breakerless, or something else?
 
I suggest you start searching a bit since they don't come easier than this and all the information you'd ever need is in RTFM and all over this forum. :lol: Made you a drawing>>

It's an LH 2.4 Setup. I inquired further into the setup the original car had, and the previous owner said it was still using a stock distributor and wasn't sure about the ignition coil. What sort of issues could I see from leaving certain components stock?

I'm probably not using the right key words. A few threads come up in my search, but I couldn't find much of any relevant data for what I was looking for. I really appreciate you taking the time to draw out a diagram, I saved it for future reference when I order the rest of what I need.
