KYB 344082 is also a great option for lifted...

KYB 344082 is also a great option for lifted applications. They are for Chevy Astro vans originally. Im running limiting straps due to the longer shock length.

Just did this yesterday to my 240. It definitely opens up some room and I'll take any freed up power that i can get! Very easy to wire up, and i hate wiring!

Ive got the electric fan/relay setup and the Saab T. Does anyone have the part number for the temp switch that goes in the T and any pics of everything wired up? I'm clueless when it comes to wiring.

Mine did something similar the other day. I was told to check the crank position sensor. Also they will act like this if you have under half a tank of gas and the in tank fuel pump is failing/bad.

Ended up cutting my strut tubes and sleeving them...

Ended up cutting my strut tubes and sleeving them with 2" schedule 40 pipe. Very tight fit, but i feel this will be very strong. I'll finish up reassembly in the morning. Cant wait to get this thing...

I meant just cutting the spring cup and moving it up versus adding in length to the tube. I didn't know if "preloading" the spring any would lift the vehicle any. Im guessing probably not...

Gotcha. I had planned on sleeving the strut tube with some schedule 40 pipe. I feel like this would be much stronger than just butt welding in more of the same thin tube. Not sure which way to go...

Im running KYB Excel-G part number 344082. Im using wagon overloads and a 1" spacer, they seem like a good fit. I just had to drill out the metal bushings in the shock bushings a little.

Any negatives to raising the spring cups versus just extending the strut bodies? Have you noticed any ill effects of doing this? I could get away with just raising the cups i think running the 27"...

Ordered some KYB part #344082 for my 2"ish lifted...

Ordered some KYB part #344082 for my 2"ish lifted 240 sedan. We'll see how they do. The measurements look pretty good based on my ride height shock length.

haha. it ill definitely be on jackstands at some point, but i wouldnt get rid of it. I can do all the work myself, so that will save me alot of money.

I'm looking at getting a wagon. I like the 240's as well as the 7/9's. Is any one of them better as a light duty offroad/camping vehicle? I understand that they use a lot of the same or similar...
