are you using the original plug from the 4x6 outer beam? They have different terminals than a 7". You need the mini/sub harnesses from a car with 7's or quad rounds.

The '75 chassis is essentially the same as any other 240. You can't use the stock trans with a slanted engine, it's an M40 (or 41) and can only be used with an upright block.

Let me suggest reading your oil pressure gauge to know how much pressure is in the oiling system. Generally speaking, I'd suggest a max of 5 bar, as that was the gauge supplied by Volvo.

The original Volvo automatics, BW35 & 55 were Borg/Warner units. The AW- series were made by Asin Warner, the Japanese licensee of BW.

AFAIK, all Volvo manuals were made in-house.
