Ugh, sorry to hear that. That's so upsetting. FYI, some e39 tourings were equipped with traditional springs in the rear rather than airbags (I had one like that).

On my car, I use the coolant temp sender in the thermostat to provide coolant temp to megasquirt, and then output from megasquirt to the gauge cluster. Simple and works just fine.

I had the turbo rebuilt over the winter so it's definitely all good.

The 960 oil pan wing is completely submerged....

The 960 oil pan wing is completely submerged. Looking at the photo above of my drain, a fair amount of oil flows out of the -10an weld fitting when you remove the drain line.
