I actually recycle OEM Volvo mounts if they aren't showing sings of cracking/fatigue. DIesel mounts might be okay too depending who makes them or how old stock they are (say before 2005).

What number is the ECU. If it is a red/pink label with the numbers ending in 56x then that is the CULPRIT. Early LH2.4 ECU's are 99% failure prone at this point in time.

Synthetic 10-30 motor oil works great in these aging gearboxes. It is what I used in all my M46's. Better OD engagement, smoother syncros too.
