The gaskets are specific to each hinge. If you really need to swap the gasket, second hand gaskets are pretty much your only option. The gaskets do deteriorate over time.

The 16g is not bolt as you need to fabricate a manifold and down pipe, reconfigure oil/water lines but I do think its a very good option for a daily driver. You can easily make a header like this...

The XC70s will have a 13t turbo which could later be upgraded to a 16t or larger. I think it would be better idea to find a 16t. You would need fabricate a new down pipe if you go that route.

Sounds like the bearings in the strut mounts are worn/dry. You could go oem but who knows how long those will last. The Bne mounts seems like the best bet these days( I haven't tried them yet)....

It would not take any more work than doing a volvo 5/6 or gm v8. I'd avoid doing Volvo 5/6 unless you plan to build the engine and if you've got the coin to do that, you might as well go v8.
