If 5spd is ok, then go for E39 diesel trans, they are cheap and sturdy, just have to machine the bellhousing like they did with the link.

I need a set of wheels to roll/move the car around, what will fit? Focus steelies? I've gotten rid most of my spacers/adapters so prefer none of that needed.
