I have mixed and matched driveshafts many times without rebalancing. You do have to make sure they're in phase, but I seem to remember that the shafts have dots of blue or yellow paint or something...

I would refit bushings with new rubber. On a car with 30 year old rubber, new makes a difference. Plus, they're quiet and maintenance-free. Poly are not.
