If you're intent on removing crank pulley all-together, to get at that seal, have you considered securing crank from flywheel/flex plate? I'd get at it from the starter hole, think BIG flathead...

That's all they were selling...or machining 240 threads on the Saab/Bilstein HD gland nut

There's no reason 17x7.5" wheels can't fit around the stock setup in that wheel well.

Those wheels are high enough offset, there's room for a lug adapting spacer.

Any booster will physically fit around the b234 manifold, shortened or not. It's the throttle body clearance, in stock...
