I haven't had any issues at high RPM and it seems to just come intermittently. It's most common when trying to start the car but even then it's not all time.

Well I've made some small progress. Rewired all the sensors just to the sensor ground input. Having the grounds on the intake manifold was causing some sort of issue with the TPS.

Found a website with a parts breakdown on the transmission. R and 1st are separate fork from 4th/5th fork. There's a detent mechanism that may be the root issue but I'm not clear on how it functions....

They do keep rocks and dirt out. I know at work we get warranty with bent dust shields collecting rocks and making brake noises with our trucks.

The early bell housings are not interchangeable and don't have the provisions for a cam sensor. You could always notch it out though.

Yup. I measured today. Left side rotor measured around .009 and the hub is around .002 and feels really loose. So i'm going to order some parts
