Called dry rot, all tires do this after a long enough period of time. Nothing you did or didn't do to cause this. It comes mostly from age, but can be accelerated depending on heat, sunlight, etc....

Thanks yeah that was my plan. The chassis is set on jack stands level so it's not going anywhere. The hubs are true from the machining after redrill so they're clean to measure from.
