Fascinated by those struts

So many good ideas on this thread. But the struts got me thinking. Could you figure out a way to refurb the no-longer-available Nivomats?

I think that 13s from a B230FT so equipped (check the dates) go straight in. But then why not put a later still B230FT block with squirters in? Just the B230FT block, crank, rods and pistons, (and...

Suspenders

We are talking solid back axle here not the IRS setup, are we?

IIRC getting those bushes out is a good game (not) unless you take the whole bang-shoot off when you can burn them out with a torch,...

I have Black Diamond grooved and dimpled discs and the matching pads on my Sport Edition and they seem to have good stopping power, and even I have never faded them. I did once fade out the...

Doesn't Jimathon on the UK VoC board do fully cleaned injectors on an exchange basis? I thought he used to. IIRC he ships out injectors he has in stock the moment he receives your dirty ones and...

Curious?

Has everyone overlooked the obvious? 5 pot whiteblock turbo from say a v70T5, pointed in the right direction and mated with an M90?

90-91 glt

I have a 90/91 740 GLT (twin cam) here in the UK and it is correct that a number of things on it were transitional - often 940 bits are needed not 740. I think that the wing mirrors are specific to...

Eyes and badges

IRS and beam axle look VERY different and it takes hardly any crawling to check.

Almost all estate cars were nivo and the nivo is pretty well incomparable for level load carrying.

Most 940s...

There is a considerable school of thought that the better pathway is to free the ready-drilled hole (if you have one) between the airbox and the inner wing so that you have a cold air intake (air...

Hi - the 3:31

Hi Smithy. If you want to sell the 3:31 with the G80 I am interested. I want it for road use behind a B234F+T (not installed or running yet). I'm in the UK but you know that already.

You can save money by using B234F pistons and decompressing with a thick cometic gasket.

PS

B234F+T with a 15 16 or 17 turbo, and stroked, even with a 90+, is likely to be well north of 250 with a bit of chippage. M90 safe-ish up to about 500.
