As I recall - 2 fasteners where column passes through and smack it with my hand; took all of 45 seconds and shifted the column maybe 1/4” away from the manifold.

If you haven't done it yet -- loosen up the fasteners holding the column and you can shift the column a bit towards the driver's side - that should free you up a bit of clearance as well.

Have not had the pleasure of having to change out either on mine.....usually the rods have some sort of threaded length adjustment so that a replacement needs to be set to the same length as the one...

Perspective Andrew -- runs high 9's @ 140 on turbo'd basically stock 367,000 mile VERY used engine. That's all win. Even if the motor now lets go completely -- it's all win good buddy.

Simply top up the reservoir on the master...

Simply top up the reservoir on the master cylinder, and put a piece of tape over the vent hole in the cap. Nary a drop will leave the open line on the other end.
