I'm using rev valves from Gary's group buy. I was able to use thicker shims without any problems. Not sure what was the thickest shim I used but all were in the 4mm range.

that is not a 531 cylinder head. The penta b21 did not have 531 heads. It will have a D cam probably the only thing worth on that motor.
