There was someone on the forum that did it. I think it was one of those guys in England. Turned out to be less metal work to swap the strikers on the shell and use later doors than to repair the rust...

I'd also maybe look into a different type of fastener. I seem to remember a TSB from some manufacturer (Mopar maybe?) about tc bolts coming loose and the factory answer was torque to yield...

As far as I can tell it hadn't been milled...
As far as I can tell it hadn't been milled before. I've run one that'd been milled .022" and it was fine. Sometimes I play fast and loose with the rules. We'll see if it bites me or not.

I always reuse them unless Alldata says to replace them. The first time I did one of these, I was going to replace them but the owner of the local Volvo parts distributor said he never sells them.

So, I'm working on a 1998 s70 non turbo with a blown head gasket. Turns out the head was severely warped (.018" taken off to get it flat) and I was just about to toss it back together and I noticed...
