Did you remove the terminals at the coil? Sometimes this scrapes of some of the fretting and the connection becomes good again.

I would lightly clean terminals and apply dielectric grease.

I don't trust statement of "no air leaks" unless you have smoke tested it. They can be very tough to find and on these old cars with all their rubber hoses running around they are VERY prone to air...

Or bike inner tube cut in half and rolled and hose clamped to rez. A knot in the other end. Works ok.
