In a B23E, I wouldn't bother running any OEM cams other than the K or H cam that came with them. An aftermarket cam like the KG8 might be fun though.

Yeah that'll work OK. I'd suggest there's no real point swapping the heads, unless you're going to get some work done to it. If not, just fit the A cam to the existing head.

I simply replaced the starter + soleniod with another known good unit, haven't had a problem since.

I'm not sure you'll gain much power with the IPD Turbo cam over the V cam.

my 740T runs an IPD Turbo cam advanced 2 degrees with a 15G turbo, AW71 and 3.73 diff, and the lower rev torque is OK....

I towed my 945GL on a trailer that weighed 1700lbs unladen, with my 745T. It drove surprisingly well, I'd have no problems doing it again with no special preperation....
